We’re looking for a Traveling Exhibit Build Supervisor to represent Foster on show floors across the U.S., overseeing the installation and dismantle of custom exhibits while serving as the on-site leader for crews, vendors, and clients.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in live environments, understands how trade shows actually work, and can lead calmly and decisively under tight timelines.
What You’ll DoOn-Site Leadership
- Serve as the primary on-site supervisor for exhibit installs and dismantles
- Lead union and non-union labor crews, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality builds
- Interpret drawings, plans, and layouts to ensure accurate execution
- Troubleshoot issues in real time and make smart decisions to keep projects on schedule
Coordination & Communication
- Act as the main point of contact between Foster, show labor, decorators, and venue staff
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to internal project managers
- Represent Foster Display Group professionally with clients on-site
Quality, Safety & Accountability
- Ensure builds meet Foster’s quality standards and client expectations
- Enforce job-site safety practices and compliance with venue and labor rules
- Oversee load-in/load-out processes, including material handling and crate management
- Document issues, damages, or deviations and report post-show feedback
Travel & Flexibility
- Travel frequently to trade shows, conferences, and events nationwide
- Be available for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and show schedules as required
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in exhibit installation, event production, or trade show supervision
- Proven experience leading crews on active show floors
- Strong understanding of:
- Union labor environments
- Show services, drayage, and venue logistics
- Custom exhibit components and construction methods
- Calm, solutions-oriented leadership style
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable traveling extensively (this is a road-heavy role)
Bonus Points If You Have
- Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certifications
- OSHA safety training or equivalent experience
- Experience with high-end custom exhibits and experiential builds
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
