Principal Mobile Engineer - React Native, IoT
Job Location: onsite in Carlsbad CA
Job Salary: up to $180k
Requirements: 7+ years of mobile development experience + experience with IoT devices

Due to growth, we are seeking a hands-on Senior/Principal level Mobile Engineer to lead the modernization of our global application ecosystem and drive the evolution of our connected hardware experiences.
What you will do
Drive Strategy & Roadmap: Own the mobile architecture and define the regional mobile roadmap while aligning with global R&D teams.
Modernize Legacy Systems: Assess and overhaul our application landscape, deciding when to maintain, rebuild, or retire legacy native codebases.
Hands-on Development: Deliver high-quality code and drive feature development for React Native and native applications.
Elevate Engineering Standards: Improve release processes, observability, crash reporting, and platform compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cloud, platform, and design teams to ensure seamless IoT integration, device pairing, and user experiences.
What you need for this role

7+ years of customer-facing mobile development experience

Expertise in React Native, Swift, and Kotlin (Objective-C and Java experience is highly preferred!)

Strong background in mobile architecture

Experience with IoT and connected devices

Proven ability to manage technical debt

Proficiency in mobile CI/CD pipelines

Experience with AWS cloud services

Strong grasp of secure API integration
