Job Summary
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in providing direct support and care to individuals with autism and other developmental disorders. This position involves implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT will work closely with clients to promote skill development, enhance communication, and improve overall quality of life through evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
• Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors accurately and consistently.
• Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
• Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and interventions.
• Maintain medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Ensure confidentiality of client information and adhere to all medical records protocols.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with special education staff and other professionals involved in the client's care.

Skills

• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles is essential.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is beneficial.
• Strong data collection skills to monitor client progress effectively.
• Ability to educate clients, families, and team members on behavioral strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and caregivers.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to assist individuals in achieving their goals.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
