The IT Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives that support the organization's strategic goals. This position serves as the primary project manager for any technology projects while overseeing the day-to-day operation, security, and continuous improvement of the company's IT infrastructure across the admin office, warehouse locations, and branch locations.
Working closely with department leaders, vendors, and executive leadership, the IT Manager ensures technology solutions improve operational efficiency, enhance the customer experience, support business growth, and minimize downtime. This position is based in the administrative office and regularly coordinates projects impacting all company locations.
Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of IT projects from initiation through implementation.
IT Operations
- Manage and maintain the company's technology infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, cloud services, telecommunications, and business applications.
- Ensure reliable system performance across all warehouse, branch, and administrative office locations.
- Monitor system availability and coordinate preventative maintenance.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Oversee software licensing and hardware lifecycle management.
Vendor & Technology Management
- Manage relationships with managed service providers, software vendors, internet providers, and technology consultants.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and service agreements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business objectives.
- Coordinate implementation of new systems and software upgrades.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and best practices.
- Monitor network security and coordinate vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data security and privacy regulations.
- Lead employee cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
- Coordinate incident response and recovery efforts when necessary.
Business Systems
- Support and improve ERP, CRM, inventory management, warehouse management, accounting, HRIS, and other critical business applications.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Manage software integrations between business systems.
- Assist in reporting, data analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as the primary technology advisor to leadership.
- Prioritize technology initiatives based on business needs.
- Develop IT policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Coordinate technology training for employees.
- Provide leadership and direction to internal IT staff or managed service providers.
- Foster a customer-service-oriented IT culture focused on responsiveness and continuous improvement.
Budget Management
- Develop and manage the annual IT budget.
- Forecast technology expenditures and capital investments.
- Monitor project costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure responsible stewardship of company technology assets.
- Mentor and develop staff.
- Manage safety program.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and communication plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage multiple concurrent technology projects with competing priorities.
- Provide regular project status updates to executive leadership.
- Evaluate project outcomes and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
Required Experience
- 5–8 years of progressive IT experience.
- Minimum of 3 years managing enterprise technology projects.
- Experience supporting multiple business locations, preferably warehouses, distribution centers, or branch operations.
- Experience working with ERP systems, cloud technologies, Microsoft environments, and networking infrastructure.
- Experience managing technology vendors and third-party service providers.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience within HVAC distribution, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- Experience implementing enterprise software solutions.
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives.
Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
- ITIL Foundation Certification

- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (preferred) y.

- Experience with budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong customer service mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships across departments.
Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
