As a team lead and advisor to management, the incumbent works with the Division to provide guidance and expert technical advice in a variety of mission support functional areas and support employees in their Area of Responsibility from a mission support perspective.

This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10)

The major duties for this position are listed below but not limited to:

• Leading a team of mission support specialists and providing expert-level advice, assistance, and guidance in mission support specialty area(s) to Executive leadership, employees in the field offices, and staff at headquarters to include providing authoritative advice and guidance to lower-graded mission support specialists.
• Assisting with initiating and monitoring budget and procurement processes for management, with an awareness of the interrelationships between these two fields and their importance to achieving the mission. Inputting and coordinating with the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting requirements and every day budget operations.
• Keeping abreast of time and attendance, purchase card activity, travel processing, local property and inventory, regulations, and policies related to mission support functions sufficient to plan, organize, evaluate, and improve mission support services and processes.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

• Serving as a point of contact for correspondences, requesting and actioning of on-boarding processes, employees badges, credentials and maintaining records of these items;
• Managing assets, including budgeting, purchase card, and vehicle management in the local Area of Responsibility;
• Performing and/or monitoring the following based on local needs and team resources: budget, procurement, personnel, telecommunications, logistics (fleet and facilities), records management, training, travel, and property;
• Managing the property within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) to include ordering, receiving, transferring, and excessing property experience. Conducting annual and bi-annual inventory;
• Managing vehicle and fleet, such as completing vehicle utilization forms, accepting new vehicles, updating Home to Work (HtW) documentation, updating and maintaining vehicle maintenance records and receipts, certifying fleet card invoices, and creating and allocation funds for yearly fleet costs

• Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
• Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 07/28/2026.
