When's the last time you worked on something fun at work?

If you're a pediatric OT and you can't remember, you already know why you're reading job posts tonight. You got into this to help kids. Lately it feels like you get handed a caseload, told how to run it, and left charting on your own time. Your opinion doesn't seem to move anything. The work that used to mean something started to feel like pushing buttons on a computer.

We built this seat for you.

This is the only independent pediatric OT seat on the North Shore that we know of. You'd treat your own patients in your own private room, with real say over the types of patients you take. Our clinic in Slidell is only two years old, so there's a lot still being built, and you'd help build it. There are long pediatric waiting lists all over this area and kids who aren't getting seen. You'd get to actually do something about that.

Here's what your day looks like.

• One-hour evals.
• Thirty-minute follow-ups. AI-assisted documentation, so you talk through your care and your notes get done. That alone gives most therapists back about ten hours a week.
• We're open 45 hours a week and you get a half day or a full day off Friday, so your weekend is actually three days.
• You shadow the whole team when you start, learn the EMR at a fair pace, and you're never thrown to the wolves.

On Pay:

• You're paid by the hour, whether a patient shows or not.
• Most full-time OTs in this role land between $34 and $38 an hour, plus a full benefits package that adds about 30% on top. That's paid time off, paid holidays, and healthcare, which most pediatric settings don't offer.
• There are bonus opportunities too, for things like production and helping with community outreach. We can flex the structure for the right person and the right experience.
• We're not the highest hourly rate you'll find. We're the better whole deal, and once you see the full package you'll understand why.

This is for you if you're a licensed OT with at least a year or so of experience, you love peds or have always wanted to get into it, and you're ready to run your own caseload without being micromanaged. A Louisiana license helps, but if you don't have one yet, we'll help you get it. You're either within about 30 minutes of Slidell or you're ready to make the move to the North Shore. It's close to New Orleans without being in it, close to the coast without being on it, and it's a great place to land.

This probably isn't for you if the only thing that matters is the highest possible hourly number, or if you want to be told exactly what to do all day. That's a fair thing to want. It just isn't what this seat is.
