bonusAbout Us
Five Valleys Urology (FVU) is a physician-owned urology specialty practice in Missoula, Montana — one of the most livable cities in the Northwest. Our team of four urologists and three APPs, along with a dedicated clinical staff, provides comprehensive urologic care across a full range of surgical and medical conditions. We are a close-knit, high-functioning practice that values clinical excellence, collaborative teamwork, and a patient-first culture.
We are growing, and we're looking for an Advanced Practice Provider — either a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (APRN/FNP) — to join our team in a full-time outpatient role. Whether you have prior urology experience or are looking to specialize, we provide comprehensive physician mentorship and training to help you build a rewarding career in one of medicine's most diverse and procedural specialties.
The Role
This is a clinically rich APP position in a specialty practice setting. You will carry your own patient panel, perform office-based procedures, support surgical and hospital care when needed, and participate in specialty clinic programs. You will work directly alongside our physician team with the autonomy that comes with a collaborative, well-run private practice. FVU offers patients cutting-edge care, right here; you will be part of a progressive and expert provider team
If you're looking to build deep expertise in urology rather than rotating through a broad generalist role — this position is for you.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and manage new and established urology patients across a broad spectrum of acute and chronic conditions
- Perform office-based procedures, including cystoscopy assistance, catheter placement and removal, stent removal, bladder instillations, and injections
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Prescribe medications within your scope of practice
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient care and education
- Support hospital rounds and surgical assistance as assigned
- Participate in specialty clinic programs, including stone disease, male health, incontinence, advanced prostate cancer, and oncology follow-up
- Document accurately in our EMR and maintain compliance with HIPAA and clinical protocols
What We're Looking For
- Current Montana PA or APRN licensure (or eligibility)
- NCCPA certification (PA) or ANCC/AANP certification (NP)
- Active or eligible DEA registration
- BLS certification required
- Urology or surgical specialty experience preferred — but we will invest in the right candidate who brings strong clinical instincts, a desire to learn, and the right attitude
- Ability to obtain hospital and facility privileges
- Comfort working with EMR documentation; experience with urology workflows a plus
Why Five Valleys Urology
- Physician-owned private practice — decisions are made locally, by clinicians who care about the team
- Collaborative, low-drama work environment with experienced clinical staff
- Meaningful clinical variety — procedures, complex patient management, specialty programs
- Missoula, Montana: outdoor recreation, university town, strong community, no state income tax
