The AVP Special Assets oversees the Special Assets team responsible for managing a portfolio of problem credits to resolution. They will lead the team by providing coaching and development while exercising a high degree of autonomy to resolve complex problem credits, especially in government guaranteed lending programs, primarily SBA and USDA.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Experience: Eight to ten years of similar or related experience. Required experience with SBA 7a and USDA B&I loan programs, and the intricacies associated with collection of such.

Education: (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Physical Requirements: The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision, color vision, and ability to focus.

Work Environment: The noise level in the office work environment is typically moderate.

Location and Schedule: This position is required to be onsite in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Exempt, Full-time.
