We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Branch Manager to lead, develop, and scale our Detroit Midwest Branch.

### Key Responsibilities
As Branch Manager, you will hold full P&L responsibility for the Detroit Midwest office, shaping business growth and operational success.
Commercial Leadership
- Drive branch growth through strategic business development and account expansion.
- Build and manage your own sales pipeline and target account portfolio.
- Develop long-term client relationships while identifying new market opportunities.
- Negotiate competitive rates with clients, carriers, vendors, and international agents.
- Support and contribute heavily to RFQs and strategic customer opportunities.
Operational Excellence
- Lead daily branch operations across air, ocean, and domestic freight activities.
- Ensure operational efficiency, strict compliance, profitability, and service excellence.
- Oversee end-to-end shipment processes, customs-related coordination, documentation, and execution.
- Monitor branch performance, profitability margins, and continuous process improvements.
- Audit operational files to ensure quality, compliance, and timely issue resolution.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, including remote employees.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and communication-driven workplace culture.
- Conduct regular team meetings, coaching sessions, and annual performance reviews.
- Step into operational workflows when needed to support the team and honor customer commitments.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to implement overarching strategic objectives.
Analytics & Business Performance
- Manage branch reporting, monthly financial closings, and operational KPIs.
- Utilize internal systems and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure profitability and operational performance perfectly align with company goals.
### What You BringRequired Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of sales or commercial management experience within freight forwarding or logistics.
- Minimum 3+ years of operations leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
- Strong, comprehensive understanding of international freight forwarding operations (Air & Ocean).
- Solid knowledge of customs brokerage and import/export procedures.
- Proven experience managing profitability, P&L, and operational performance.
