Position Summary:
Our client is a premier, Tokyo-headquartered global leader specializing in ultra-compact, high-efficiency Analog Power Management ICs (PMICs). As they aggressively expand their direct engineering and commercial footprint in North America, we are seeking a motivated, tech-driven Technical Account Manager / FAE to join as a founding member of their regional team.
We are NOT looking for a traditional, non-technical salesperson. We are hunting for a sharp engineering mind with a passion for analog electronics. If you have a solid foundation in electrical engineering and want to step out of the lab or rigid corporate structures to fast-track your career into high-impact commercial leadership, this role is designed for you. Prior B2B sales experience is NOT required—our client will fully train you on the business side if your technical foundation is rock-solid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer-to-Engineer Consultation: Act as the technical and commercial face of the company, standing toe-to-toe with customer hardware R&D teams (Automotive Tier-1s, IoT, Industrial OEMs) to solve complex power management design challenges.
- Circuit & Layout Analysis: Review customer circuit schematics and PCB layouts to troubleshoot noise (EMI), thermal constraints, and space issues, positioning our proprietary integrated inductor (coil-in-chip) "Micro DC/DC" technology as the ultimate solution.
- Account Ownership: Manage the entire design-in cycle from initial technical discovery and simulation (LTspice/Altium) to final BOM optimization and RFQ/commercial quotation.
- Global Collaboration: Bridge the gap between North American customers and our global design/marketing teams in Japan to define next-generation product requirements.
Requirements (Strictly Enforced):
1. Education :
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Computer Engineering (BCE) is required.
2. Experience Level:
- Around 3 years of hands-on engineering experience (Post-graduation or through intensive Co-op/internship programs at Tier-1 automotive, industrial, or semiconductor companies).
- We are explicitly targeting highly motivated junior-to-mid-level professionals or recent powerhouse graduates.
3. Required Technical Expertise (Analog & Power Focus):
- Deep theoretical and practical understanding of Analog Circuit Design and Power Electronics fundamentals (Buck/Boost converters, LDOs, Switching Regulators, BMS, or Power Distribution).
- Hands-on experience with hardware validation, electronics troubleshooting, or PCB debug using laboratory equipment (Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers).
- Familiarity with industry-standard design/simulation tools (such as LTspice, TINA-TI, Altium Designer, KiCad, or Cadence Allegro).
- Knowledge of vehicle network protocols (CAN/LIN) or vehicle-level reliability/noise standards (EMC/EMI mitigation, DFMEA) is highly preferred.
4. Commercial & Interpersonal Attributes (No Prior Sales Title Needed):
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to distill complex abstract engineering data into clear, concise language.
- Prior leadership or public-facing exposure (e.g., IEEE student leadership, University Ambassador, or project management) is a massive plus.
- A strong desire to move into a highly lucrative, high-visibility business development and client-facing career path.
