Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cost Analyst to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing cost data, Inventory coordination for cycle counts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, any duties assigned by the Controller as needed for support and growth, job costing reviews, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. Your expertise will help optimize budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives across various departments. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cost analysis using spreadsheets and financial software such as Epicor, and other accounting systems to identify trends and variances.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including cost summaries, variance analyses, and management dashboards that support strategic planning.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy in financial statements aligned with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory standards.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by analyzing historical data, preparing projections, and providing insights into cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and non-profit accounting standards by maintaining proper documentation and adhering to regulatory reporting requirements.
• Lead or assist in managing accounting teams during month-end close processes, financial reporting cycles, and internal audits related to financial or regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cost accounting analysis, financial reporting, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Proficiency in financial software including advanced skills in Excel data analysis are essential and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately and communicate findings clearly through written reports.
• Experience managing accounting teams or supporting finance team management functions is preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
