Relic is building a platform for 1000-year homes.
Users enter an address, choose a style, generate architectural concepts, unlock a schematic plan package, and connect with builders.
This is not a manual drafting role.
We are looking for someone who can help design the automated architecture engine behind Relic: the rules, data structures, constraints, geometry logic, and outputs that allow software to generate schematic residential plan packages automatically.

Site-to-plan generation workflow
Style-to-geometry rules
MEP perimeter trench diagrams
Ceiling moat diagrams
Automated sections, elevations, and schematic plan outputs
PDF plan package templates
Future IFC/BIM export logic
Automation workflows that Claude and other AI coding tools can help implement
Ideal background
Computational architecture
Parametric design
Residential design systems
Rhino/Grasshopper, Revit API, IFC, CAD automation, or similar
Ability to think in systems, not just drawings
Comfortable with AI coding tools such as Claude
Able to create diagrams, rules, schemas, and automation specs
Strong architectural taste and technical judgment
Bonus
Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Dynamo, Rhino Compute, IfcOpenShell, Speckle, Three.js, Blender, or web-based configurators
Experience building design automation tools
Experience with housing, modular design, prefab, construction tech, or BIM automation
First project
Design and prototype the first automated Relic plan generator.
Inputs: lot width, lot depth, target square footage, number of floors, bedrooms, bathrooms, architectural style, orientation, courtyard yes/no
Outputs: structured JSON house model, SVG floor plan, simple 3D massing, elevation diagram, section diagram, MEP trench diagram, ceiling moat diagram, PDF schematic plan package
This is contract or part-time to start. Remote is fine.
