Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Assembler / QC Inspector to connect electro-mechanical assemblies, test, and inspect small electronic assemblies and finished products to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards.
This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to follow assembly instructions, drawings, and inspection procedures as well as other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly: Install electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools. Mount and connect electronic components and wiring (resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, etc.) onto circuit boards and into final product housings.
- Soldering: Perform light soldering to ensure secure, clean, and reliable connections.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test in-process and finished assemblies to confirm compliance with specifications and workmanship standards.
- Documentation: Accurately record production data, inspection findings, and test results.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and correct assembly or performance issues as they arise.
- Tools & Equipment: Use soldering irons, tweezers, wire cutters, and other precision hand tools safely and effectively.
- Organization & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, orderly workspace and keep tools in good working condition.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, designers, and engineers to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Order Fulfillment & Shipping: Assist with packing and shipping finished products, verifying order contents, preparing shipping documentation, and maintaining an organized shipping area to support timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training or an associate degree in electronics preferred.
- Experience: 1–2 years in electronic assembly or inspection required.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle small, delicate assemblies with steady precision required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on assembly accuracy and defect detection required.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions required.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using soldering tools and small hand instruments required.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting or moving materials up to 50 lbs. required.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively required.
- Certifications: IPC-A-610 soldering certification preferred.
- Other Duties: Perform other assigned duties as required.
