THERAPY STUDIOS, founded in 2005, is a high-end post-production company located in Los Angeles and known for its award winning team of editors, sound designers, mixers, graphic designers, colorists & VFX artists. Therapy is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate finishing assistant to join its team. This role supports senior online artists in conforming, managing, and finishing projects using Flame and Resolve, including versioning, basic compositing, color adjustments, and delivery prep for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms. Daily responsibilities include ingesting and organizing assets, maintaining project timelines, updating edits, and ensuring technical accuracy with formats, codecs, and color workflows. The Assistant Online Artist collaborates closely with editors, colorists, producers, and designers to address notes, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain a smooth finishing pipeline. The role also involves quality control checks, prepping sessions, exporting final masters, and archiving projects according to studio standards.This person can expect to become an integral part of the Therapy team working alongside our artists on a broad range of work from long-form television and feature films to commercials.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency with Flame and DaVinci Resolve, including conform, basic compositing, and color workflow understanding.
• Experience with post-production pipelines, media management, codecs, and delivery specifications for broadcast, streaming, and online platforms.
• Working knowledge of editorial tools (e.g., Avid, Adobe Premiere, or similar) and integration between offline and online workflows.
• Attention to detail in QC, version tracking, and the ability to maintain organized project structures under tight deadlines.
• Effective collaboration skills, clear communication with creative and production teams, and a service-minded approach to client needs.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Los Angeles, CA, with flexibility to support occasional extended hours based on project demands.
• Prior experience in commercial, music video, or gaming/post-production environments is highly beneficial.
• Relevant education or training in post-production, film, media, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.

Salary:

This position will be full-time and salaried based on experience (between $50-60k), with opportunities to earn Overtime pay as well. After a 3-month trial period, our benefits include: paid holiday, vacation, and sick/personal time, health and dental, life insurance, extended disability and a 401K plan.
