Echocardiography Technologist
Join Heritage Imaging and make a meaningful impact by delivering exceptional echocardiography services to patients across Washington communities. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside cardiologists and healthcare professionals while utilizing echocardiography technology to support accurate diagnosis and outstanding patient care.
Schedule: One week, you'll work onsite in Ilwaco, WA on Monday and Tuesday. The following week, you'll work onsite in Forks, WA on Monday and Tuesday.
Status: Part Time
Salary: $45-$55/hour
About the Role
The Echocardiography Technologist performs high-quality echocardiographic examinations, including 2D, M-mode, and Doppler studies, to support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. This role combines technical expertise, clinical judgment, and compassionate patient care while collaborating closely with cardiologists and the broader cardiac care team.
What You’ll Do
- Perform one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and Doppler echocardiograms, including pulse wave, continuous wave, and color flow mapping studies.
- Adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images and ensure exam accuracy.
- Complete measurements and provide preliminary findings for physician review.
- Assist physicians during specialized or complex echocardiographic procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and address questions or concerns.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout examinations.
- Record, archive, and maintain diagnostic images and patient records according to department standards.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and infection-control protocols.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated cardiac care.
- Participate in continuing education and assist with training students, fellows, or new technologists as needed.

Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- RDCS, RCS, or equivalent echocardiography certification required.
- Current BLS Certification required.
- 3–5 years of echocardiography experience required.
- Current TB screening and required vaccinations required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to travel between assigned service locations as needed.
