Founded in 1974, Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. is a Tampa-based, full-service A/E firm with a small-to-mid-sized, family-feel culture. Our architects, interior designers, and engineers work side by side on K-12, higher education, municipal, healthcare, industrial, and restoration projects. You will support licensed engineers on building projects that matter, building your technical judgment through hands-on design, coordinated BIM workflows, and direct exposure to how great projects come together.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
· Support structural design and documentation for building renovations, additions, and new facilities.
· Perform calculations, assist with analysis, and help develop coordinated Revit/BIM models and drawing sets.
· Collaborate with licensed engineers and design teams to solve framing, detailing, and coordination challenges.
· Participate in field measurements, existing-condition investigations, and construction-phase support.
· Help maintain organized project files, calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
· Grow your software skills, technical confidence, and project awareness through day-to-day mentorship.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
· Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
· EIT certification preferred; FE-track candidates are encouraged to apply.
· 0–3 years of internship or professional experience in building design.
· Working knowledge of Revit/BIM; exposure to RISA-3D, Enercalc, or similar tools is a plus.
· Strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Detail-oriented, curious, coachable, and motivated to build a long-term structural career.

· Familiarity with the Florida Building Code.
