Duties and Responsibilities

Develop data gathering and management plan.

Attend public workshops/meeting, take observational notes, set up audio/visual equipment.

Gather, organize, store, and manage all project data.

Create and maintain a project bibliographic database.

Track recruitment chains and manage survey data records.
-
Review and summarize literature related to public participation for community development planning processes.

Transcribe/support the transcription of workshop recordings.
-
Analyze, summarize, public meeting data and analytical findings.

Draft research memos and reports.
-
Other duties as necessary and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Communications, Communicology, or related field.

Demonstrated ability to conduct survey research and manage participant recruitment in community-based settings.

Working knowledge of Qualtrics or similar survey platforms, and basic data management and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS).
Desirable Qualifications
-
Familiarity with public participation techniques and practices, and experience analyzing policy documents, recorded testimony, and/or audio/visual data.

Proficiency to review and interpret research data across multiple formats, communicate effectively, and complete tasks independently and on time.
