JOB SUMMARY
The Japanese – English Translator is responsible for providing accurate translation and interpretation services to facilitate effective communication between Japanese and English -speaking individuals. Key responsibilities include translating written documents, interpreting during meetings and training sessions, and ensuring clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate communication across ELSA. This position may require some assistance with travel logistics and administrative tasks and will report directly to the Vice President.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide accurate Japanese-to-English and English-to-Japanese translation of documents, emails, reports, presentations, policies, procedures, and other business communications.
Provide interpretation services during meetings, training sessions, audits, interviews, and other business-related activities.
Ensure the intended meaning, tone, and context of information is accurately conveyed between Japanese and English speakers.
Review and proofread translated materials for accuracy, consistency, grammar, and cultural appropriateness.
Assist departments with communication needs involving Japanese and English-speaking employees, visitors, customers, suppliers, and business partners.
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive company, employee, and business information.
Support effective communication and collaboration across departments through timely and accurate language services.
Maintain translation records, terminology references, and document revisions as required.
Support Responsibilities
