Software Engineer - Industrial Automation
Location: North East Maryland (on-site)
Salary: $110,000 - $140,000
Requirements: HMI experience with React/Python and integrating PLC via OPC UA

Join an industry leader developing next-generation HMI software for advanced manufacturing equipment. This role combines modern software development with industrial automation, building real-time operator interfaces and integrating directly with Siemens PLCs.
You will develop full-stack HMI applications using React and Python/C++ and integrating PLCs via OPC UA
What You Will Be Doing

Develop HMI applications using React and TypeScript.

Build backend services with Python and/or C++.

Integrate Siemens PLCs through OPC UA.

Design real-time monitoring, controls, and data visualization tools.

Docker and CI/CD experience
-
Collaborate with automation and controls engineers.

Support cloud, edge, and on-premise deployments.
What You Need for this Position

React and JavaScript/TypeScript experience.

Backend development experience with Python or C++.

Hands-on OPC UA experience.

Experience with PLCs, SCADA, HMI, or industrial automation.

Strong troubleshooting and systems integration skills.

Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal.

Elixir/Erlang experience.

Modbus, Profinet, Docker, and CI/CD.
