Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Billing & Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing billing processes, handling collections professionally, and working across multiple billing platforms. This role requires strong computer literacy, excellent time-management skills, the ability to work independently in a remote environment, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage client billing accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Conduct collections in a professional, courteous, and effective manner.
• Navigate and utilize various billing software and platforms.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
• Collaborate with internal team members as needed while maintaining the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, and collections.
• Preferred but not required proficiency with multiple billing systems, software platforms, and web-based applications (examples: Counselink, Tymetrix, LegalX, LegalExchange, Quovant, Bottomline, Ascent)
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to quickly learn new software and adapt to changing technology.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet timely deadlines.
• High level of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Strong data entry and recordkeeping skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $33.00 per hour
