Hybrid, licensed personal lines sales role focused on inbound opportunities, consultative conversations, and closing — no cold calling.
We’re a growing, people-first independent insurance agency seeking a Licensed Property & Casualty professional who thrives in consultative sales conversations and can confidently guide clients through coverage decisions.
This is a production-focused role built around inbound opportunities and referral flow, ideal for someone who enjoys evaluating options, making recommendations, and helping clients move confidently toward a clear decision.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys sales conversations and closing business, rather than primarily handling ongoing service requests.
Schedule & Work Location
- Hybrid role after training
- 2-3 days in-office (Baldwinsville, NY)
- 2-3 work-from-home days per week
- Training: 6–8 weeks onsite with structured support (training is onsite 5 days/wk in our Baldwinsville location)
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- No nights, no weekends
Pay & Compensation
- Base Pay: $32–$35 per hour (based on experience)
- Performance-based bonus opportunities

What You’ll Do
New Business Sales
- Respond to inbound leads and referral opportunities
- Conduct coverage reviews and needs assessments
- Quote and compare options across multiple carriers
- Present coverage recommendations clearly and confidently
- Guide clients toward a decision and close business
- Follow up consistently to move opportunities forward
Retention & Coverage Reviews
- Review policies when appropriate to ensure coverage remains aligned
- Reposition coverage when rates change or policies need adjustment
- Address objections calmly and professionally
- Keep conversations focused on solutions and next steps
Systems & Documentation
- Maintain accurate documentation in HawkSoft (AMS) and HubSpot (CRM)
- Follow established sales workflows and processes
- Keep pipeline activity organized and current
- Ensure clean handoffs when needed
What You Bring
- Active New York Property & Casualty license
- Strong personal lines experience; small commercial exposure is a plus
- Ability to quote, explain coverage, and confidently ask for the business
- Clear, professional communication skills (phone, email, video)
- Comfort using modern tools (MS Office, cloud platforms, video meetings)
- Quiet home workspace and reliable high-speed internet for remote days
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and a team-first mindset

- Active New York Property & Casualty license (personal lines required)
- Personal lines quoting experience
- Comfort making recommendations and asking for commitment
