Abaco Strategy, LLC (Abaco) is an 8(a), HUBZone, Woman-Owned Small Business that provides IT and consulting services to federal and commercial clients. We are seeking a hands-on Business Development and Capture Manager to support pipeline growth, customer engagement, opportunity qualification, capture execution, and proposal integration. This role is well suited for someone who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution in a lean and fast-moving environment.

Overview:

We are seeking a collaborative and driven Software Quality, Functional and Performance testing analyst. In this role, the ideal candidate will be an integral part of ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with SCRUM teams, developers, and program management to validate functional requirements while also contributing to the advancement of our performance and automation testing capabilities.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with teammates, SCRUM teams, software developers, and program management to ensure alignment on quality goals and project deliverables.
• Design, execute, and maintain functional test cases to validate that application features meet established requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of automated testing scripts to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
• Contribute to the development of performance testing scripts to evaluate system scalability, reliability, and responsiveness under load.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to provide testing status and quality metrics.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers to facilitate timely resolution and re-testing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Certifications: SCRUM, Leading SAFe, any AI in T&E certs are valuable but not required.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree; or an Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience in a relevant technical curriculum or at least 30 hours in math, information technology, and statistics and must include Integral and Differential calculus.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills

• Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes.
• Detail-oriented, able to work independently, self-motivated, and a proactive team player.
• Introductory or working knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting languages (JavaScript, C). Familiarity with OpenText Load Runner or similar performance testing tools and script development for web-based applications.
• Understanding of Agile/SCRUM principles and experience working within sprint-based development cycles.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
