Job Summary
Health Information Associates (HIA) is seeking a results-driven Business Development Representative to drive new pipeline creation through proactive outbound prospecting. This is a true “hunter” role focused on identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities and setting high-quality discovery calls and meetings for the Business Development team.
This role is ideal for a disciplined prospecting professional who excels at outbound outreach, understands complex B2B sales cycles, and consistently delivers qualified opportunities. The Business Development Representative plays a critical role in HIA’s growth strategy by fueling pipeline development and expanding market reach.
Key Responsibilities
Independently research and identify high-value prospects using HubSpot, LinkedIn, and other data sources
Execute high-volume, high-quality outbound prospecting through cold calls, email, social outreach, and multi-channel campaigns
Conduct market research and formulate strategies to execute successful service line and geographic based prospecting.
Engage in service line–specific and geographic based prospecting to achieve HIA’s expansion goals
Qualify prospects by uncovering business needs, challenges, buying triggers, and decision-making processes
Set qualified discovery calls, meetings, and/or demonstrations for Business Development Managers
Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely records of all prospecting activities within HubSpot
Partner closely with Marketing to refine outreach strategies, targeting, and messaging
Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and meeting-setting goals
Stay current on HIA’s services, value propositions, competitive landscape, and industry trends
Required Skills & Experience
Previous successful outbound prospecting, lead generation, or sales development experience
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding activity and meeting-setting targets
Strong cold-calling skills with confidence engaging senior-level stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience prospecting into healthcare organizations preferred
Proficiency with CRM and prospecting tools (HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator preferred)
Highly organized, self-directed, and disciplined in managing daily outreach activities
Resilient, persistent, and motivated by performance-based goals
