Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Programmer for the 2nd shift to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and up to date CNC programs. Responsible for leading machinists, maintaining workflow, ensuring part quality, and continuously improving productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead, coordinate, and schedule the activities of CNC machinists across multiple shifts.
• Proficient with Metric or Imperial measuring equipment with the ability to convert.
• Ability to run all manual and CNC shop machines.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan machining operations.
• Program, and assist in the set up, and troubleshoot CNC machines as needed using G-code, Mastercam.
• Optimize CNC programs for efficiency, tool life, and part quality using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam).
• Responsible for initiating the requisitioning of needed materials, and tooling required performing assigned jobs needed in supporting.
• Responsibilities include initiating recommendations involving continuous improvements of measures to improve methods, equipment/ tooling performance, and quality of work.
• Monitor and enforce quality control standards in coordination with the QC department.
• Train and mentor operators in machine setup, safe operating procedures, and best practices.
• Monitor Tool Job Manager work orders and adjust resources to meet delivery timelines.
• Maintain accurate and up to date CNC programs and ECN’s for programs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for workflow, setup time reduction, scrap reduction, and tooling.
• Verifies conformance of finished work-piece to finished specifications.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and corrective maintenance of CNC equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the shop floor.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required;

• Technical degree or certification in machining, CNC plus 3 years in a tooling environment is desired
• 5 years of Proven CNC programming in a tooling environment highly considered.
• Proficient with Mastercam is desired, Other CAM software experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling is a plus.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of CNC Machine Programming experience or combination of School and Hands on experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in CNC programming (G-code, CAM software).
• Proficient with GD&T, blueprint reading, and machining principles.
• Expertise with various materials (Tool Steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.) and cutting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a tool machining environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
• Previous Management / Leadership Experience is a plus

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
