About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Banquet Captain to join a premier hospitality team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading teams, creating exceptional guest experiences, and growing with a long-term organization.

The ideal candidate has experience in banquets, catering, private events, hotels, clubs, or upscale restaurants and can confidently lead event operations from setup through execution.

Location: San Francisco
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Event-based schedule (Tuesday-Sunday, year-round opportunities)
• Approximately 20-30 hours per week, based on event needs with the potential to transition into a more consistent full-time schedule as event volume increases
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage banquet staff during events
• Coordinate floor operations and ensure smooth event execution
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management
• Delegate tasks and ensure smooth event operations
• Maintain high standards of service, professionalism, and presentation
• Train and support serving staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences
• Identify and resolve service issues professionally
• Oversee room setup, breakdown, and all aspects of banquet service execution

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hospitality experience
• Previous banquet, catering, hotel, private club, or fine dining experience preferred
• Previous leadership, captain, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication and hospitality skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced event environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
• Reliable and dependable
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
