Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated ReStore Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation of the ReStore. Must be able to interact with all kinds of individuals and remain consistent in maintaining a professional demeanor as well as promoting the mssion and values of Kauai Habitat for Humanity.

Responsibilities:

- Customer Service - Greet Customers and assist with merchandise as needed.

- Utilize point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately. Includes opening and closing of the register daily.

- Receive and process incoming donations.

- Maintain an organized and visually appealing store layout

- Stock shelves and merchandise products as needed

- Clean & test small appliances and other equipment, assuring safety and function.

- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy

- Use effective communication skills to build rapport with customers and provide exceptional service

Requirements:

- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred

- Orgainized and self-directed

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work well in a team environment with staff and volunteers

- Excellent phone etiquette and ability to handle customer inquiries over the phone

- Courteous and friendly with excellent customer service skills

- Basic computer skills that include word processing and web-based searches

- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs on a regular basis with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting.

- Must understand and appreciate the mission of Habitat for Humanity.

Minimum Requirements:

- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
