We are a well-established regional law firm with one of the most active and respected construction litigation practices in New York. We are seeking junior and senior associates to join our growing Manhattan group. This is a dedicated construction litigation seat, not a rotation or a catch-all litigation role. The group handles serious, complex work and the attorneys here try cases.
The Practice
This group represents owners, contractors, and insurers in high-stakes construction disputes across New York. The work is concentrated in NYS Labor Law defense under Sections 240 and 241, construction defect and property damage claims, insurance coverage disputes, and risk transfer litigation. Partners in this group have taken over 250 matters to verdict collectively. The caseload is substantive and the courtroom exposure is real.
The Role
You will handle depositions, court appearances, and motion practice in state and federal courts with meaningful independence. You will advise clients on litigation strategy, risk management, and insurance coverage issues, draft pleadings and discovery, and collaborate directly with partners on case strategy. The firm also responds to catastrophic loss events, so the ability to mobilize quickly and think clearly under pressure matters here.
What the Firm Is Looking For
2 or more years of litigation experience with a meaningful focus on construction, NYS Labor Law defense, or property damage claims.
New York Bar admission is required. New Jersey Bar admission is a plus.
Experience with Section 240 and 241
