Your Role

The Installation and Billing team processes member enrollments to provide access to care for our members and ensure accuracy of billing. The Clerical Support Representative Intermediate will report to the Operations Supervisor and will rotate onsite days with others on the clerical support team. In this role, the office clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks such as filing documents, answering phones, and managing correspondence to ensure the smooth operation of the office. They also support staff by maintaining records, assisting with data entry, and other routine duties as needed.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

• Batch, track, compile and distribute mail, proofread and assemble documents in addition to general office support such as faxing, filing, and copying.
• Provide team support on routine to complex projects.
• Handle inquiries and incoming work requests.
• Update and maintain information in various databases
• Monitor and order inventory of office supplies.
• Prepare and send outgoing mailings and packages.
• Identify and report issues timely.
• Support the team from Blue Shield’s Lodi office, by working multiple days in office each week based on business need.
• May be required to work overtime or Saturdays based on business need.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a high school diploma or GED
• Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experience
• 1-2 years prior clerical experience preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Systems such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines
High attention to detail

Hybrid Virtual Work

This role allows employees to work virtually full-time, however employees will be expected to come to the office based on business need.

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
