Lead Healthcare Security Operations

A respected national security services company is conducting a search for an experienced Security Manager (Healthcare) to lead security operations for multiple healthcare security contracts in the Ft. Walton Beach & Pensacola, Florida markets.

This leadership position is responsible for the overall operational success of all assigned security contracts within the branch. The Security Manager serves as the primary operational leader, ensuring exceptional client service, regulatory compliance, staffing excellence, and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in healthcare security, understands the unique regulatory and accreditation requirements of hospitals, and has demonstrated success leading security operations in a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of all security contracts assigned to the branch.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership and client representatives.
• Ensure each contract is appropriately staffed to meet contractual requirements and service expectations.
• Oversee employee scheduling and deployment to ensure uninterrupted security coverage.
• Ensure all security personnel maintain required Florida security licenses and remain compliant with all applicable state licensing requirements.
• Monitor officer performance and ensure strict adherence to client post orders, company policies, and operational standards.
• Recruit, coach, develop, and retain supervisors and security officers.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO/TJC) standards and healthcare security best practices.
• Conduct operational audits, site inspections, and quality assurance reviews.
• Investigate incidents and oversee accurate reporting and follow-up.
• Partner with leadership to improve operational performance, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
• Manage branch-level operational metrics, service quality, and contract profitability.
• Respond to client concerns and resolve operational issues in a professional and timely manner.

QualificationsRequired

• Minimum 5 years of healthcare security management experience
• Demonstrated leadership of security personnel within a hospital or healthcare system
• Working knowledge of Joint Commission (JCAHO/TJC) standards and healthcare regulatory requirements
• Experience managing staffing, scheduling, and operational performance
• Strong customer relationship and client management skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet employment screening requirements

Preferred

• Military leadership experience (Air Force Security Forces, Military Police, Force Protection, healthcare administration, or related fields)
• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Healthcare Administration, Emergency Management, Security Management, or a related discipline
• Florida Class "MB" Security Agency Branch Manager License or the ability to obtain one (company support available for qualified candidates)

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Approximately $80,000 annually
