POSITION DESCRIPTION
Head Coach, Competitive Soccer
Position Purpose
Twin Cities Rush Soccer Club seeks a highly motivated and experienced Head Coach to lead the development of our competitive players. This pivotal role demands a dynamic individual with a proven background in both playing and coaching soccer, exceptional communication skills, and an unwavering commitment to player development. The Head Coach will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, inspiring peak performance, and upholding the values and vision of Twin Cities Rush as we strive to be the premier club in the nation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Player Development & Coaching:
- Lead and coach a competitive Twin Cities Rush team, ensuring alignment with club philosophy and age-group standards.
- Implement Rush age-group training priorities, preparing players for seamless transitions to higher levels and age groups.
- Design and execute engaging training sessions that enhance technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall player performance.
- Strive for successful outcomes in both training sessions and competitive matches, emphasizing player growth and team cohesion.
- Actively demonstrate soccer skills and techniques, and clearly articulate complex soccer tactics.
Club Leadership & Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with club Directors on all aspects of player management, including placement and movement between teams.
- Assist with other teams as needed, providing coverage and support to maintain club-wide coaching excellence.
- Actively participate in all Rush Coaching Education Clinics and Meetings, meeting all minimum requirements for ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to attracting top talent from the Twin Cities area and beyond through a strong on-field presence and reputation.
Communication & Engagement:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for players and parents, maintaining open and effective communication through meetings, phone calls, and emails.
- Conduct a minimum of two formal parent meetings each season to discuss player progress and club initiatives.
- Complete player evaluations throughout the seasonal year, meeting all club minimum standards for comprehensive assessment.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- US Soccer Grassroots License (or willingness to obtain within the first months of hire).
- Two (2) years of competitive soccer playing experience.
- Proven leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- USSF “D” License or higher.
- Five (5) or more years of competitive soccer coaching experience.
- Collegiate or professional soccer playing experience.

Pay: $400.00 - $900.00 per month
