Work you'll do

As a Geopolitical Strategy Manager, you will focus on Geopolitics while coordinating with and backfilling Public Policy and External Engagement. Specific responsibilities include:

Co-managing geopolitics and cross-team programs and tasks for effective staffing and execution, managing remote teams in multiple locations including but not limited to the US, UK, EU, and India.

Attending meetings with leadership and provide briefings and other support to execute agreed-upon action items as needed, monitor execution of action items.

Developing tools, templates, and guidance necessary to support execution of geopolitics initiatives.

Mentoring, coaching and supervising team members, lead special projects as assigned, drive AI enablement efforts, and coordinate with Senior Managers and Directors.

Working across Deloitte Global groups and Deloitte Member Firm/geography leadership to support geopolitics programs and initiatives, and to strengthen teamwork and sense of community.

You will also be responsible for sensing and analysis, including managing Deloitte's ongoing sensing, filtering and analysis of geopolitical trends and developments, in collaboration with specialist teams and external advisors, and leveraging AI and other tools.

Managing complexity and discern “the signal from the noise”, identify underlying drivers, isolate business relevance and clarify potential business impacts for Deloitte and our clients

Leading quantitative analysis of external and internal data sources to discern trends, shape recommendations, and support executive communications.

Leading or assisting in the regular publication of significant internal publications including the Quarterly Intelligence Synthesis and Geo-economic Dashboard, among others.

Report preparation and engagement:
Co-managing the development and maintenance of geopolitics-related dashboards.

Conducting research and summarize the results on key strategic geopolitical issues.

Preparing briefings and supporting planning activities for internal and external interactions of Deloitte's senior executives, Member Firm leadership and global board.

Providing communication and administrative support for senior leadership meetings.

Geopolitial project management:
Provide both “on request” support related to the business impact of geopolitical developments and manage collaborative strategy projects designed to strengthen the resilience of Deloitte business and functional strategies and plans to geopolitical trends.

Manage, facilitate, and prepare for executive level workshops, interviews, surveys to gather executive-level input on key issues as needed.

The team

Global Strategy, Innovation, and Public Policy is responsible for charting the direction of Deloitte. Our team works with internal clients to shape and explore the impact of business drivers, supporting key global leaders in defining and enabling the Firm's strategy, innovation, and policy agenda.

Qualifications

Experienced Manager with minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably including public or private sector strategy consulting.

Master's degree (e.g., in Business Administration, International Relations or Economics, ) preferred.

Academic or practical experience with public policy, international relations, economic development, geopolitical issues and/or regional studies particularly Asia or Middle East.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

High degree of competence in use of AI to strengthen Deloitte processes and products

Foreign language capability and experience abroad preferred

Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Strong program management and ability to prioritize workload to translate stakeholder desires into actionable workplans.

Experience simultaneously managing multiple project teams.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including high competency for stakeholder management.

Ability to lead complex data analysis, including model development, quality assurance, and executive communication of insights.

Solving complex challenges in a self-directed manner using structured thinking.

Creating narratives to guide stakeholder thinking and maximize impact.

Pursuing structured and unstructured qualitative research.

Cultivating trust among a variety of stakeholders internal and external to the organization.

Driving team adoption of AI-enabled approaches, while assuring appropriate support and guardrails.

Travel required up to 15%

Deloitte Global is required by local law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role for individuals applying to work in our New York City and Arlington, Virginia locations. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is 139,400 - 232,00 for individuals applying to work in these locations.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
