About the Role
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the studio’s calendar, and ensuring a seamless experience for every guest. This role requires a blend of hospitality, sales awareness, and technical organizational skills to keep the studio running efficiently. This position is in-person located at 3635 NE 1st Avenue, Miami FL. The work schedule is (30 hours/week):
- Mondays: 9am to 9pm (less meal/rest breaks)
- Tuesdays TBD: AM or PM shift (6 hours)
- Thursdays: 3pm to 9pm
- Sundays: 10am to 7pm (less meal/rest breaks)
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Guest Relations: Warmly greet clients upon arrival, offer refreshments, and alert service providers of their arrival.
- Appointment Management: Professionally handle phone calls, texts, and emails to schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using salon management software.
- Financial Transactions: Process cash and credit card payments accurately, manage tips, and handle daily financial reconciliation using Zenoti POS.
- Sales & Promotions: Recommend retail products, inform clients of current promotions, cross-sell relevant add-on services and memberships to meet sales quotas.Consistently meet or exceed individual and studio sales targets for retail products and service memberships.
- Strategic Up-selling: Confidently recommend add-on treatments and premium service upgrades during the booking process and at check-in.
- Retail Excellence: Educate clients on home-care regimens and close retail sales during the check-out process based on service provider recommendations.
- Lead Conversion: Proactively follow up on "unbooked" inquiries and "lost" clients via phone or text to secure future appointments.
- Membership Growth: Pitch and sell studio memberships or packages to recurring guests to ensure long-term loyalty and recurring revenue.
- Studio Upkeep: Maintain a clean and organized reception area and refreshment station, and assist with laundry or light cleaning as needed.
- Communication: Act as a central hub between clients, service providers (sugaristas, technicians), and management.
- Inventory Support: Monitor retail and professional supplies daily; proactively notify the Studio Manager when items are running low and assist in the restocking process to prevent service disruptions.
