Texarkana Tractor Company manages thirteen dealerships, comprising ten Kubota dealerships and three New Holland dealerships throughout east Texas and central Arkansas. The Agriculture Service Technician III is a senior-level technician responsible for advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and technical leadership within the service department. This role is expected to handle the most difficult mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic system failures with minimal supervision. The Technician III serves as a technical expert, mentor, and key contributor to shop efficiency, customer satisfaction, and service profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Diagnostics & Repair
- Diagnose and repair complex failures in agricultural equipment systems
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on diesel engines, emissions systems, hydraulics, and electronics
- Repair or rebuild major components including engines, transmissions, differentials, and hydraulic systems
- Interpret advanced schematics, wiring diagrams, and OEM diagnostic data
- Resolve difficult or recurring equipment failures requiring deep technical expertise
Technical Leadership
- Serve as a technical resource for Technician I and II team members
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians
- Provide guidance on difficult diagnostics and repair strategies
- Support continuous improvement in shop repair processes
Quality Control & Efficiency
- Ensure all repairs meet OEM and dealership quality standards
- Reduce comebacks through accurate diagnostics and repair execution
- Verify work completed by other technicians when assigned
- Maintain high standards for documentation and repair accuracy
Preventative Maintenance & Inspections
- Perform high-level inspections and preventative maintenance on critical equipment
- Identify long-term reliability issues and recommend corrective actions
- Support fleet and large customer accounts with reliability-focused service
Work Order Management
- Complete detailed and accurate repair documentation
- Ensure proper labor coding, parts usage, and diagnostic reporting
- Maintain compliance with warranty and OEM requirements
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all OSHA and dealership safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials and equipment
Customer Support (When Required)
- Communicate technical findings to Service Writers or customers when needed
- Assist in explaining complex repairs in clear, professional language
- Support high-value or priority customer accounts
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in agriculture, diesel, or heavy equipment repair
- Advanced diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
- Strong ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software
- Proven ability to work independently on complex repairs
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred
- OEM Master Technician certifications (John Deere, Case IH, Kubota, etc.)
- ASE certifications (T-series or equivalent)
- Technical school education in diesel/agriculture technology
- CDL (depending on field service responsibilities)
- Welding/fabrication experience

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
