Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Data Entry Specialist to join our team in person. This vital role involves accurately inputting, managing, and maintaining medical records and data within various database systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to data accuracy. Your work will directly support healthcare providers by ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of vital medical information, enabling efficient patient care and administrative operations.

Duties

• Enter and update patient information into electronic health record (EHR) systems with precision and speed
• Utilize office productivity software, including Microsoft Excel, to analyze and organize data through pivot tables and data sorting techniques
• Manage data collection efforts by accurately transcribing handwritten notes into digital formats using 10-key typing skills
• Maintain organized filing systems for physical and electronic records, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with privacy regulations
• Perform order entry for medical supplies or prescriptions within ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
• Conduct routine data audits to identify discrepancies or errors, correcting them promptly to uphold data integrity
• Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry in Excel, basic math calculations, and clerical duties to streamline office operations

Experience

• Proven experience in data entry within a healthcare or medical environment is preferred
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, database systems, ERP platforms, and productivity software
• Demonstrated ability to perform high-volume typing (including 10-key typing) with accuracy and speed
• Previous office or clerical experience involving filing, data collection, transcription, and order entry is advantageous
• Familiarity with databases such as Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems or other healthcare management software
• Basic math skills necessary for verifying numerical data and performing calculations accurately
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
