General Manager – House Rules Vegas | New Multi-Activity Entertainment Bar & Restaurant Opening
POSITION OVERVIEW
House Rules is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing operation of House Rules Vegas, a high-energy, multi-activity entertainment bar and restaurant.
This is a new location opening role designed for someone who has successfully operated a full P&L-driven business, understands how to deliver a strong guest experience, and can lead a team in a fast-paced, experience-focused environment.
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the business, including operations, financial results, team leadership, guest satisfaction, and successful venue execution from opening into daily operations.
House Rules combines hospitality, group events, food & beverage, and competitive social games in a high-energy venue environment. The Scottsdale location website is included for reference while the Vegas website is being finalized.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Performance & Financial Oversight
- Own and manage full P&L performance of the venue
- Work closely with the controller on financial reporting, budgets, and accountability
- Review event performance (BEOs), bookings, and revenue alignment
- Make daily decisions based on pace, forecast, and actual performance
Operations & Floor Leadership
- Lead the business from the floor during operating hours
- Ensure the venue is consistently guest-ready, organized, and operating at a high standard
- Oversee all areas of the operation including front-of-house, bar, kitchen, and activity spaces
- Identify and resolve operational gaps in real time
Group Sales, Bookings & Systems
- Maintain full oversight of group bookings, event execution, and sales flow
- Ensure alignment between CRM, booking platforms, staffing, and execution
- Hold accountability for accurate data, notes, and communication across systems
- Support and reinforce a proactive, revenue-driven sales culture
Team Leadership & Development
- Hire, train, and develop a strong, accountable team
- Set clear expectations and hold consistent standards across all roles
- Provide hands-on coaching to improve execution and consistency
- Ensure team alignment with both guest experience and business performance goals
Food, Beverage & Experience Execution
- Maintain accountability for kitchen and bar performance, including quality, consistency, and cleanliness
- Review product mix and performance trends to guide decision-making
- Ensure all guest experiences, including gameplay and service, are delivered at a high level
Marketing, Sales & Venue Support
- Oversee the Marketing and content execution at the venue level
- Ensure alignment between marketing efforts, bookings, and in-venue performance
- Support local business development, partnerships, and event growth initiatives
Facility, Equipment & Standards
- Ensure all games, equipment, and facilities are maintained and operating properly
- Identify needs for repair, maintenance, and third-party support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment across all areas
WHO YOU ARE
- 3–5+ years of experience as a General Manager or equivalent role with full P&L responsibility
- Experience across hospitality, entertainment, and high-volume guest-focused environments
- Familiar with CRM systems, booking platforms, and event-driven business models
- Comfortable managing both daily operations and financial performance

ROLE EXPECTATIONS
- Leadership is floor-based during operating hours, not office-based
- The General Manager is expected to be present, engaged, and actively leading the team
- This role requires a hands-on approach and consistent involvement in execution
This position is best suited for candidates who are comfortable owning both the operational and financial performance of a location and who prefer a highly engaged, hands-on leadership style.
COMPENSATION
Total Target Compensation: $105,000 – $125,000+
Base Salary: $80,000 – $90,000
Performance Bonus: Biannual performance bonus opportunity, with an annual bonus range of $10,000 to $100,000 based on achievement of gross sales targets while maintaining net profitability goals
Health Insurance: Competitive, employer-supported coverage after 90 days
This role is structured to reward a General Manager who can successfully lead the overall performance of the venue. Sales execution, including group sales and event growth, is an important part of driving results, but the bonus is ultimately based on total venue performance, profitability, guest satisfaction, and employee retention.
The performance bonus is not guaranteed and will be tied to clearly defined business results and operating standards.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
