FSQA Specialist

Regulatory Compliance
· Develop and maintain the Brand Version Calendar as specified in the Company’s FSQA Program as a Preventive Control against misbranding. Ensure that the Brand Version Calendar is executed flawlessly end-to-end.
· Proofread all new or revised packaging and labels alongside the Brand Manager, to ensure Regulatory Compliance and Specification Accuracy before release to market.
· Serve as integrator for FSIS label approvals & Identity-Preserved certifications, delivering approved and certified products to the Brand Manager.
FSQA & Complaint Intelligence
· Assist with annual reviews of co-man GFSI audit scores, nonconformances, and corrective actions; flag material findings to the Senior VP of Culinary.
· Conduct a weekly review of consumer complaints, results of physical Product QC Checks & internal company findings:
o initiate RC-CAPA with co-mans as appropriate & track to closure.
o Meet weekly with Senior Culinary Manager to turn synthesized findings into Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP), as appropriate. Track all CIP to closure and post into a Master Change Log
· Serve as SME for the Company’s QC Hub; prepare a comprehensive QC Review, including a co-man scorecard, for the Leadership Team each Quarter.
· Support the team in maintaining readiness of the company’s Recall Plan.
Product Quality Control & Tastings
· Perform weekly physical Product QC Checks under direction of the Senior Culinary Manager and log results as directed; Assist SCM with Product Tastings as directed.
· Visit co-man sites as directed to gain perspective on the manufacturing process and insight toward expertise with RC-CAPA and Continuous Improvement.
Sales & Marketing Support
· Track & maintain calendar of all Sales & Marketing Sampling Requests; Coordinate with Senior Culinary Manager to execute on-time shipments.
· Assist Brand Manager with packaging development tasks, physical packaging builds, testing at co-mans, etc.
· Execute compliance with specific FSQA requirements for the Trade, including retailer and distributor documentation and specification requests.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety, Food Science, Food Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
· No prior professional experience required; candidates with relevant work or internship experience may be preferred.
· PCQI certification a plus.
Location & Schedule
· This is a full-time position, with in-office three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday) at our Stamford, CT office.
· Minimal business travel (approximately once per month) requires access to a car.
Compensation & Reporting
· $70,000–$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
