As a Digital Design Intern, you will be an integral part of our design projects, supporting our experienced team members across all departments. You’ll help members of our design team deliver outstanding digital designs and enhance online experiences for our clients. This internship will primarily involve learning how to create stunning new site designs and enhance existing designs for niche marketing strategies. Responsibilities:

• Update Landing Pages: Adjust landing pages when account overhauls are required, ensuring seamless user experience and functionality. You’ll also be taught how to replicate existing landing page designs for different topics, making adjustments to imagery, copy, and URLs for consistency and relevance.
• Update Promotional Designs: Refresh promotions on landing pages and learn how to align them with our current marketing campaigns and client goals.
• Update & Optimize Newsletter Designs: Ensure email addresses on landing pages are accurate and up-to-date for proper communication.
• Report on A/B Testing Results: Analyze and report on A/B testing to provide actionable insights for design improvements.
• Make Small, One-Off Updates to Designs: Select new imagery and make minor adjustments to designs, maintaining brand consistency and visual appeal.
• Visual Conceptualization and Design Execution: Contribute to visual conceptualization and execute designs that meet client objectives and industry standards.
• Design Across Various Mediums: Design for a range of mediums, including digital, print, social media, packaging, and email, catering to diverse client portfolios.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with creative, SEO, paid ads, account management, and content teams to create high-caliber, on-brand design content.
• Present and Articulate Ideas: Clearly communicate design ideas and concepts to team members and clients, relating them to the project’s overall direction.
• Learn and Grow with the Team: Absorb feedback positively, use it as a learning opportunity, and adjust designs accordingly.
• Research and Stay Current: Keep up with trends in design, social media, technology, and industry news to incorporate best practices into the work.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Communications or Related Field: A degree in graphic communications, animation, marketing, advertising, or a relevant field; or in the 3rd or 4th year of such a program.
• Willingness to Learn & Excited to Dive into Design Tools: We work in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and other design tools, so any experience in this is a plus.
• Comfortable Receiving Constructive Feedback: Receptive to feedback, using it to improve design work and align with project goals.
• Positive and Collaborative Approach: Uphold the company’s core values with a positive mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Project Management Skills and Attention to Detail: Manage projects effectively, with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Adaptability and Flexibility: Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, adjusting quickly to new challenges and requirements.

This internship is available as a Hybrid role for Chicago-area residents, however, we are open to remote candidates located outside of the Chicagoland area.
