Pioneer Therapy, a proud division of The Valens Group, is seeking a dynamic Clinical Leal for Occupational Therapy to oversee and support our OT team and focus on developing our growing Chicago clinic location.

While we have traditionally focused on pediatrics, our practice is expanding to serve clients across the lifespan. We remain primarily pediatric in focus, so strong experience in pediatric care is essential. However, we would love for candidates to also bring experience treating adults and supervising clinicians who work with adult clients.

Position Overview:

The Clinical Lead for Occupational Therapy will lead with vision and empathy—balancing a direct therapy caseload with strategic leadership and mentorship responsibilities. This is a key leadership role for someone who loves developing talent and improving systems while staying rooted in clinical work.

We are ideally looking for someone who is not only confident mentoring clinicians who serve pediatric and Early Intervention clients, but also those interested in working with adult populations as we expand our services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a team of licensed occupational therapists and new graduates
• Provide mentorship, supervision, and guidance to OT staff across Illinois
• Collaborate with the Clinical Director on department-wide training, development, and quality assurance
• Support onboarding and integration of new team members
• Ensure documentation, billing, and compliance standards are consistently met
• Maintain a minimum of 25 direct therapy hours per week, including at least 16 in-home therapy hours
• Participate in team hiring, retention initiatives, and leadership meetings
• Contribute to program development and interdisciplinary collaboration

Qualifications:

• Illinois-licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
• 5+ years of pediatric occupational therapy experience
• Experience supervising and mentoring clinicians
• Experience treating clients across the lifespan, including adults, is strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with Early Intervention, sensory processing, feeding therapy, and school-based services is a plus
• Experience with Fusion EMR or similar systems is ideal
