Duties

• Perform thorough dishwashing using commercial-grade equipment, ensuring all utensils, cookware, and dishware are sanitized and ready for use
• Assist with basic food handling and preparation tasks under the supervision of kitchen staff
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, counters, sinks, and storage spaces, following food safety sanitizing procedures
• Support food service activities by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and assisting with tray collection during busy service times
• Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, boxes, and supplies safely and efficiently in accordance with safety protocols
• Follow strict food safety management practices to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Assist with catering and banquet setups as needed, ensuring all items are organized and ready for service
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean, organized workspace that promotes efficient food preparation and service

Experience

• Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is most important
• Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and basic cleaning techniques is advantageous
• Experience in catering or banquet settings can be a plus but is not mandatory
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of dishwashing practices, food handling standards, and basic kitchen operations will help you succeed
