Shadowbox Design Management, Inc. is seeking candidates for a full-time shop associate position in our Bethpage, NY location. Shadowbox is a leading event design and production company and AV systems integrator servicing event professionals and corporate clients in the greater NYC region.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ professional experience working in a warehouse or shop with inventory systems. Experience in the testing and maintenance of event production equipment (lighting, audio, and video) is required.

Applicant must possess basic computer skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is helpful. Experience with Flex inventory management system is a plus. Working knowledge with operation of lighting controllers, audio mixers, or video switchers and event tech software is beneficial.

Candidates must be able to work with others as a team and be able to function independently with little supervision for specific tasks. Attention to detail and the ability to problem solve and think one one’s feet are all beneficial qualities.

Skills that are not a prerequisite of the position but are considered useful include computer aided drafting, soldering, carpentry, and truck loading and/or driving. You must be able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

The specific duties related to this position are check in, check out, and prep of equipment and supplies for jobs as needed, pack equipment for secure shipment, basic maintenance of production equipment, assist with inventory management, work with, and supervise over hire staff as needed, and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly shop. The position requires occasional on-site work around the NYC/Long Island area.

Salary range is $60,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits include health care, dental and vision plan, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development assistance.
