About the Role

We are looking for a detail-driven, growth-minded Marketplace Operations Manager to own our marketplace channels end to end. This role has two halves that make it interesting:

Run the machine. Our marketplace presence lives and dies on clean data. You will own product catalog feeds, order and tracking file workflows, listing accuracy, and integration health across our marketplace channels, supported by our ERP and shipping systems.

Grow the machine. Once you ensure every process is running smoothly, your mandate expands: more products listed on more marketplaces, faster onboarding to new platforms, better product content that converts, and a measurable increase in marketplace revenue. This is a high-value role that will report to the President and work closely with our purchasing and warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

• Own daily and weekly data workflows across marketplace channels, including CSV-based catalog and tracking uploads, and resolve any import/formatting errors.
• Maintain a single source of truth for product data (titles, descriptions, images, categories, grade/age ranges) and keep every channel consistent with it
• Manage product listings across marketplace portals: new listings, updates, declined-listing corrections, and resubmissions
• Onboard new marketplaces from application through first order
• Prepare and format product images and content to each platform’s specifications
• Monitor channel performance (orders, errors, listing coverage, revenue) and report monthly with recommendations
• Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing on inventory availability and fulfillment data accuracy
• Document workflows so processes are repeatable and not dependent on any one person’s memory

Qualifications

• 2+ years in e-commerce or marketplace operations (marketplace seller/vendor operations, catalog management, channel management, or similar)
• Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets): lookups, text manipulation, data cleaning, and building reusable templates. You should be the person others come to when a file won’t import.
• Hands-on experience with at least one e-commerce or marketplace platform such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Amazon, or eBay
• Experience working in or alongside an ERP or order management system
• Exceptional attention to detail and the temperament to enjoy meticulous work where accuracy matters
• Strong written communication for working with platform support teams, program administrators, and vendors
• Self-directed and reliable in a remote or hybrid arrangement

Bonus points for any of the following:

• Experience selling to schools, therapists, or other institutional customers
• Light scripting or automation skills (Google Apps Script, Python, or power use of formulas) applied to data workflows
• Product copywriting or SEO experience
• Experience in special education, therapy, or educational products

Compensation and Benefits

• $50,000–$72,000 per year, based on experience
