Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Apprentice / Helper to join our dynamic electrical team. Must be able to work night shift hours from 9pm-5am. 90% of work is night shift hours.

Duties

• Support licensed electricians in installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical systems according to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
• Assist with conduit bending, electrical wiring, and electrical systems installation on construction sites
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to ensure accurate implementation of project plans
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform various electrical tasks while adhering to all safety procedures
• Conduct basic troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters and other testing equipment to identify electrical issues
• Follow strict safety protocols related to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code for electrical safety) and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
• Support the setup of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, ensuring proper grounding and connections
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and debris regularly on job sites

Skills

• Prior experience with industrial or commercial electrician work is highly desirable
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards and NEC regulations for safe electrical practices
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, conduit benders, and power tools safely
• Knowledge of electrical wiring techniques for both low voltage and high voltage systems
• Experience with conduit bending, electrical wiring installation, and blueprint reading is preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures including lockout/tagout protocols
• Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence in dynamic environments
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks
