Assist teams and foster involvement of all associates in lean practices and efforts.
Data collection, entry and analysis with improvement plans. May include, but not limited to productivity, total productive maintenance (TPM), downtime, scrap and change over initiatives.
Leads 5S efforts, including planning, implementing and supporting plant floor and maintenance activities.
Perform cycle time studies to create and validate production standards including standardized work.
Process layout and material flow.
Identify and implement cost and waste reduction activities.
Recommend improvement to the manufacturing process.
Assist quality lab in serial monitoring, failure analysis and support of quality related investigations.
Must be a currently enrolled, degree seeking student from an accredited engineering program majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other Engineering related discipline.
Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills required.
Working knowledge of computer application software such as MS Office, MS Access, Minitab, AutoCAD, SAP (training will be provided if needed).
Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment.
Must be able to work overtime when required.
Must be organized and work well with constantly priority changes.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
