Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in our manufacturing processes. AMG Titanium LLC produces metal alloys in New Castle, Pennsylvania for Aerospace and other industries. This position provides technical leadership for process development, continual process and design improvement, project management and planning, and support of safety, quality and manufacturing for the operations. Compensation will be based on the type and level of experience, and a competitive benefit package is provided with this position. Relocation assistance is provided, and the job is subject to successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
Responsibilities:
1. Work safely and support safety culture and programs.
2. Develop new semi-automated lines/equipment from concept to production
3. Optimize product flow and line efficiency while reducing CAPEX and lead time
4. Generate machine specifications, RFIs and RFQs, documentation and manufacturing instructions
5. Generate process flow, failure mode effects analysis, and inspection methodology for new products
6. Collaborate with production teams to identify key areas for improvement in operating equipment and products
7. Identify and lead projects for new product development, continual improvement and cost reductions
8. Coordinate development strategy and topics with other AMG teams
9. Support manufacturing, quality and safety teams as a technical expert
10. Support sales with customer related issues and projects
11. Lead teams as assigned and participate with teams and projects as needed
12. Lead lean manufacturing and lead-time reduction continual improvement activities
13. Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Material Science or Chemical Engineering
4. Experience improving production processes using data analysis software (Minitab)
5. Experience generating process and product quality documentation
6. Proven track record of data driven methodology to solve complex problems
7. Strong hands-on experience with metals and pilot scale manufacturing preferred
8. Knowledge of furnaces preferred
9. Thermite knowledge preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
1. Must be able to travel between the New Castle plants
2. Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with personal protective equipment as required
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
