Director of Community Relations

Immediate Supervisor

This position reports to the Director of Operations, Administrator/Owner.

Statement of Purpose

The Director of Community Relations is a member of the agency who assists in marketing, enlistment, branding & advertising for new staff applicants for Visiting Angels Tulsa & Visiting Angels Bartlesville. This position assists with proper advertising and marketing for all new field staff openings, onsite marketing and oversite of enlistment campaigns and procedures for new staff, as well as the management of the continuing education program. This position is also responsible for the ongoing development and encouragement of positive relationships with current clients. This position works closely with the Director of Operations.

Qualifications

Ø Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, working telephone number and auto insurance.

Ø Marketing experience needed.

Ø Positive attitude, exceptional people skills, and a willingness to follow up by phone with leads after hours and on weekends are a part of the job description.

Ø Flexibility regarding workdays and work hours.

Shared Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Ø Represents Visiting Angels as a front-line liaison between applicants/tech centers/ private training centers and Visiting Angels agency.

Ø Maintains confidentiality regarding clients, agency business, and healthcare staff.

Ø Uses excellent customer skills in dealing with all contacts.

Ø Documents communication with referral sources, caregivers, clients, potential clients and others in Call Center on AxisCare.

Ø Responds to external requests for information about services offered by agency.

Ø Completes other duties as assigned.

_ OPERATIONS_

Ø Participates in team meetings, in-service programs & health/job fairs as requested.

Ø Communicate with Director of Operations any situation that is questionable.

Specific Duties

CAREGIVER MANAGEMENT

Ø Responsible for marketing efforts with referral sources available for possible caregivers. These include but are not limited to Vo-tech campuses, nursing schools, private CNA/HHA programs and other nurse aide programs.

Ø Coordinates advertisement and promotion of job openings for caregiver and HHA positions.

Ø Works with Client Care Managers in both offices to encourage and increase CG participation in Visiting Angels Caregiver University continuing education online platform.

Ø Lead out in planning, implementation, promotion, and evaluation of onsite CEU opportunities.

Ø Update and keep current Contacts and Organizations under the Marketing section on AxisCare.

CLIENT MANAGEMENT

Ø Contacts client leads, follows up and gathers information regarding potential services.

Ø Keep accurate and current records or all client leads on Client Conversion Table.

Ø Use AxisCare data management system to organize and track referral sources and their information, communication and referrals.

Ø Make appointments to meet with potential clients to discuss services as necessary.

Ø Coordinates meetings between families ready to sign up for services and nurses who will complete paperwork.

Ø Assist as necessary with any ongoing communication issues with clients as needed.

Ø Responsible for planning, promoting, and implementing ongoing client development/appreciation events.

Range and Motion Requirements

Ø Normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal or near normal range.

Ø Manual and finger dexterity with hand/eye coordination.

Ø Requires physical ability to perform job related lifting, walking through large parking lots or facilities, and sitting for extended periods of time.
