Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of fire extinguishers, ensuring they meet all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform maintenance, recharge, and refilling of fire suppression devices following manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and technical manuals to accurately assess system configurations.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to service fire alarm systems, sensors, low voltage wiring, and fire sprinkler fittings.
• Inspect construction sites for compliance with fire safety codes; verify proper installation of fire alarm systems, sensors, and related components.
• Document all service activities meticulously in detailed reports; update maintenance logs and compliance records regularly.
• Collaborate with project teams on system design reviews using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software; assist in system schematics development as needed.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician or installer within the fire protection or security industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and construction inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and system design principles related to fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage wiring, NEC (National Electrical Code) standards, sensors, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience working with fire sprinkler fitting, fire alarm sales or service projects preferred; previous construction or field service background highly valued.
• Ability to read technical drawings such as schematics and system layouts accurately; understanding of CAD is a plus.

Pay: $50,659.73 - $61,009.57 per year
