We are hiring a Sales Manager Trainee to lead the sales operation of our Wilmington, Newark and Seaford, DE branches. The successful candidates will spend their first 90 days learning our business from the ground up as a field marketing and outside sales representative , mastering our product, process, and customer experience. After demonstrating success in the field, they will transition into a Sales Manager role — recruiting, training, and leading a growing team of representatives.

Phase 1 – Sales Manager Trainee (First 90 Days)
Outside Sales / Field Marketing Representative
Compensation: 100% Commission (uncapped)
During your training period, you will:
- Canvass targeted neighborhoods and generate leads through face-to-face interaction with homeowners
- Set appointments and run in-home consultations for gutter, roofing, siding, and related exterior services
- Present GBX Home products and close sales using our proven sales process
- Learn every aspect of the customer journey — from first knock to completed installation
- Shadow leadership and study the systems you will eventually run
- Track daily activity, pipeline, and results using our CRM
This role is structured as a commission-only outside sales position in accordance with Delaware wage and hour wage (19 Del. C. § 902), which exempts qualifying outside sales employees whose duties are performed away from the employer's place of business from state minimum wage requirements. Earnings are directly tied to production — top performers routinely out-earn salaried peers.
Phase 2 – Sales Manager (After Successful Completion of Training)
Once you have proven yourself in the field, you will be promoted to Sales Manager.. In this role, you will:
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new outside sales representatives
- Train new reps on our product line, sales process, and field techniques
- Coach, motivate, and manage the daily performance of your team
- Set and hit branch sales goals in partnership with the Operations Manager
- Continue to run your own personal sales pipeline
- Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure the services sold by your team are delivered on time and to GBX Home's quality standards
- Build the Wilmington office into a flagship location for the company
Compensation as Sales Manager:
- Base salary(paid regardless of production)
- Personal commission on all sales you close directly
- Override commission on every sale produced by the representatives you manage
