We're looking for a Vice President of Economic Impact - a senior executive who understands that numbers tell a story about community. Reporting to the CEO/President and serving as a key member of the leadership team, you'll develop NTCA's financial management strategy, oversee accounting and grants operations, and serve as a credible, public-facing voice to investors, government agencies, and regional partners.

You'll connect the different strands of the regional economy, tourism and events, stewardship, community development, accommodations, and housing, into a cohesive investment and funding strategy aligned with NTCA's mission. This is rare: executive-level work with real community stakes, in a place most people only dream of living.

What You'll Do

Financial Strategy and Accounting

• Develop and lead NTCA's financial management strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and investment benchmarking
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to internal stakeholders, regulators, and partners
• Manage all AR/AP cycles, payroll, grant management, accounting systems, and billing controls
• Partner with the CEO and senior team on cash flow, grant management, and financial goal-setting

Leadership

• Hire, manage, and develop the accounting and grants team
• Prioritize NTCA's culture of collective leadership to optimize community capacity
• Drive a culture of accountability and care across the organization

Organizational Policies and Systems

• Establish fiscal management guidelines and financial operations standards across departments
• Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements; automate reporting and data systems
• Maintain organizational compliance and standard operating procedures

Community Engagement

• Serve as a public-facing representative to investors, elected officials, and community partners
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify funding opportunities aligned with NTCA's strategic plan
• Engage regularly with elected officials, Board members, committee members, and tribal partners

Risk Management

• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax laws
• Conduct regular audits of expenditures, assets, liabilities, and organizational processes
• Evaluate strategic and operational risks including cybersecurity-related threats

What You Bring

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field required
• 5–10 years of managerial experience overseeing teams and/or contractors
• CPA, CFA, or CMA designation preferred

Skills and Abilities

• Strong accounting acumen and financial analysis skills
• Experience working across agency, nonprofit, private, government, and tribal collaborative environments in the North Lake Tahoe region preferred
• Proven track record in collaboration, change management, and stakeholder engagement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and people-first leadership approach
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and critical thinking
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

Pay: $175,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
