Job Summary:
Provide behavior and analysis services and behavior management plans for special education students with social/emotional needs who are enrolled in the district's educational programs. Provide building-level support and professional development/training to school staff, paraprofessionals, and parents/guardians in appropriate behavior intervention techniques. Maintain a caseload of buildings/programs and students for which the BCBA-Manager provides consultation, direct services, and case management. Appropriately supervise RBTs and provide services through RBTs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a caseload of buildings/programs and students. Design, develop and implement behavioral supports and services rooted in ABA methodology for district staff and students. Create and assist district staff with the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans and other appropriate programs for students who present behavior/learning challenges. Serve as a resource for information regarding laws, regulations, and procedures related to applied behavior analysis, special education, and behavior.
• Provide direct ABA services to students. Implement, take progress data, and adjust programming designed to increase desired academic, behavioral, and daily living skills and to reduce problem/barrier behaviors.
• Provides direct supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavior Intervention Paraprofessionals according to Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) requirements for the purposes of supporting these HSD2 staff members in maintaining their RBT licensure which is a requirement of their position.
• Collect/organize data and prepare a variety of reports for the purpose of documenting case history, assessments and treatment. Compile Special Education information into reports for parent groups and other audiences-analyzing and evaluating the data to participate in decision making for behavioral health of students in District.
• Provide functional behavioral assessments for individual students in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations. Monitor and track progress to ensure positive outcomes for students. Perform home visits for the purpose of providing direct treatment, consultation and collaboration with students and families.
• Participate in the operations of the District Behavior Team and District Autism Team, including referral assignment, planning professional development, and directly handling behavior and Autism related referrals. Attend staff meetings and committee meetings as needed.
• Develop materials and provide resources for an assigned caseload of students using evidence-based methodologies, such as Applied Behavior Analysis, related to addressing the needs of students with Autism and other significant behavior difficulties. Coordinate staff activities and professional development/training to make program improvements and implement new efforts. Must meet BACB requirement to provide required supervision hours to RBTs within the district. May provide supervision to graduate students pursuing BCBA certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/administrator.

Education, Training and Experience:

• Possess, or be eligible for, Colorado Department of Education License with a BCBA endorsement – Currently issued as an Adjunct Instructor Authorization (BCBA certificate required). The Colorado Adjunct Instructor Authorization must be held within 30 days of the candidate's start date in this position.
• Master's Degree in behavior analysis, special education, psychology or related field.
• Must hold the BCBA or BCBA-D credential.
• Each special education provider shall serve, at a minimum, a majority of students whose identified area of need aligns with the provider's endorsement.
• Endorsement levels must be appropriate for the age range being served, in accordance with ECEA Rule 3.04.
• Special experience and training as determined by content area.
• Minimum five years of experience providing direct behavioral services to children ages 4-18 preferred. Familiar with monitoring student behaviors and progress, providing analysis of assessment results, and designing and implementing interventions using ABA methodology for students with behavioral needs. Experience providing supervision to BCBA candidates, BCaBAs, and RBTs is preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience in a school setting and with special education issues is preferred.
• Valid Colorado driver's license.
• Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.
