Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer Rookie to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in civil engineering projects, construction management, and system design. The ideal candidate will support ongoing projects, assist with technical tasks, and gain practical experience in various engineering disciplines including water treatment, wastewater management, and geotechnical engineering. Responsibilities

• Assist in project scheduling and coordination to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
• Support the preparation of technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and CAD software.
• Contribute to construction management activities, including site inspections and quality assurance.
• Utilize GIS tools such as ArcGIS and GIS-related software for land surveying, spatial analysis, and project planning.
• Aid in construction estimating and system design for infrastructure projects like pipelines, water treatment facilities, and hydraulics systems.
• Participate in geotechnical engineering assessments and water/wastewater treatment system evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation through technical writing and drafting tasks.
• Collaborate with project engineers on project management activities including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking using Project Management tools like Bluebeam.
• Support construction inspection processes to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles including hydraulics, geotechnical engineering, water/wastewater treatment, and system design.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, or similar drafting tools.
• Experience with GIS platforms like ArcGIS or similar spatial analysis tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction management practices, project scheduling, and estimation techniques is a plus.
• Strong technical writing skills for report preparation and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team on diverse projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Eagerness to learn new software tools such as Mathcad, HEC models, SWMM, Land Surveying techniques, and other engineering applications.
